Me and my dog Butters
Dr. Lina Yetishefsky is absolutely the best vet I’ve ever known. She is so personally invested in giving animals the care they deserve that I trust her with my pets more than anyone else I know.
She works hard to get to the bottom of issues and acts quickly to address any problems before they get bad. If you’re looking for a vet in Westlake Village, CA, give her animal hospital a call. She and her staff are simply the best!
Want to eat food made from scratch, crafted by a chef who honestly cares about flavor and served by a staff that takes their jobs seriously? Leo and Lily in Woodland Hills, CA, is the place for you.
They have a pleasant, European cafe atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is very good about working with customers on their dietary restrictions and genuinely care about their restaurant, food and service. They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, except Mondays for dinner, and they are just fantastic!
They get plenty of customers on the weekends for bruch, but please help me support them during dinner, which offers my favorite menu. Leo and Lily, the best restaurant in the Valley!
I am someone who’s had at least one pimple on my face from the time I was about 12. I’ve used tons of different ointments, and the only thing they’d do is leave a dry ring around the pimple, and that’s about it.
Then, I walked into a LUSH Cosmetics store for my first time in March of 2012, and my life has been forever changed: I overheard one of the sales people telling another customer about their Grease Lightning product, and thought I’d give it a try as I was going to my friend’s wedding the next day, and I felt a pimple starting to surface.
That night, I put a dab of the clear gel on the spot, and by morning, it was gone. Shocked, I put more Grease Lightning on every other mini-zit or potential zit-to-be, and all of them disappeared after a few (at most) applications. It’s been over a year since I started using the product, and I’ve only had a couple full pimples go through their whole cycle. For the most part, though, I stop them dead in their tracks with the first application, and they’re gone after one to three more applications.
Not only does it work, though, it doesn’t affect the rest of my skin at all! It doesn’t dry my skin or leave a mark. The worst it does is (if you put it on thick enough) the gel will flake off when it dries.
I even recommended it to a family friend a few months ago who has two teens with acne, and when I saw them again, after a month or so, their skin looked 97% better. And it costs less than $15 for a bottle that will probably last 10 years!
How to use Grease Lightning:
- Buy with this link.
- Clean the spot.
- Dab a little bit on the spot before bed.
- If it’s still there in the morning, clean the spot again, and dab a little more on at least 30 minutes before putting makeup on top.
- Repeat as necessary (even every few hours if necessary) until the zit is gone.
I’d been searching high and low for a lotion that wouldn’t make me break out in a rash. I think it’s because almost every lotion out there contains orange, rosemary, rice or some chemical. Lo and behold, I’ve finally found something to keep my skin smooth (and not oily, which could easily be achieved by slathering myself with olive oil):
It’s Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner. It’s a LUSH Cosmetics product, so you know it’s handmade with fresh ingredients. It does contain lemon oil, so it’s not good for people who are allergic to all citrus, but it definitely works for my orange allergy, and it looks like it would work for people who are allergic to sulfites too.
I just put it on in the shower, rinse it off, and I’m moisturized for about 48 hours, completely eliminating my need for any other body lotion.
Here’s a link to LUSH Cosmetics‘s website where you can read the full list of ingredients and purchase Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner:
When we went to Fort Lauderdale last summer, we went to eat at Sushi Za twice! It has great sushi and a fun atmosphere. It advertises “art-sushi bar-sake lounge, thai-japanese kitchen, fine wine.” Does it get any more promising?

The best place to get jeans is the Warehouse Sale, which travels around the country offering brand-name jeans for cheap, including True Religion, Genetic, Hudson, Chip & Pepper, Joe’s, and many more.
Their next sale in LA is on March 29, 2009. Visit http://www.thewarehousesale.com to register. It’s free to get into the sale as long as you register ahead of time. (Also, I highly recommend getting there early and waiting in line.)
